1 - Basilica Exterior
Constructed of Wisconsin Lannon stone, it is trimmed with Indiana limestone. The gray-green Vermont slate roof peaks eighty feet above the street and the cross in the tower is 140 feet above the ground. The building measures about 240 feet in length and approximately 80 feet in width at the transept. At the northwest corner of the basilica, extending out over the driveway, the Porte Cochere provides a sheltered side entrance into the narthex, the interior vestibule. |
