Altar Servers
Altar servers share in a ministry which has a long history in the Church. Servers assist the priest and congregation in carrying out the ministry of communal Eucharistic celebration. Servers must be in 6th grade or older. Generally the servers are grades 6 to 8 but a few continue their service into high school. Servers must attend either QAS School or the Religious Education Program. The program is open to both boys and girls and training is provided. Altar Servers are scheduled to serve each weekday and Sunday mass during the year on a rotating basis. Prayerfulness, dependability and a willingness to learn are the only requirements.
