Lectors
Lectors are called to proclaim the Word of God at Mass. You are a storyteller, called to speak the words of salvation. This ministry requires above all things a strong belief in and devotion to the truth proclaimed in scripture. On the practical side, lectors need a loud, clear voice and should be comfortable speaking to large groups. New lectors must attend an evening of training and formation, held at various times throughout the year. Training sessions for new lectors are announced in the Parish Bulletin. Lectors are scheduled to serve two or three times a month in pairs, with one lector reading each of the two readings. Lectors are also required to attend one or two evenings of formation a year.
