Ministry of Care - Homebound Ministry
WHAT IS THE MINISTRY OF CARE?
People caring and sharing in a homebound prayer relationship in which Holy Communion is brought to the handicapped, ill and elderly. This ministry gives prayerful support to the parish spirituality and also links the parish life to the homebound. It is a ministry of healing for both the minister and those ministered to. In general, this ministry is a calling to witness and share the Gospel of God to others in a loving, caring, patient and understanding way. It means being in touch with ourselves and sharing ourselves with others through God.
WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
•To bring Holy Communion to the homebound in our community and Peterson Park Care Center
•To give prayerful support to the parish spiritually by being the link between parish life and the homebound faith community.
